About the Authors

Grant Simic, BMedSci is co-founder and chief executive officer of Astute Doctor Education.

Mr. Simic's 20 years in healthcare began in the medical research arena, which led to influential roles at a number of global medical education companies. It was there that he discovered his interest in leading a team to develop and deliver high quality education to physicians and other healthcare professionals. Simic has since worked on the development of hundreds of physician education programs in Europe, Australasia and North America.

Through his experiences, Mr. Simic observed that most physician education does not adequately equip physicians for the patient communication aspects of disease management. This fuelled Mr. Simic's passion for providing in-depth training on interpersonal skills as a means of improving patient relationships and delivering better quality care. Bringing together Mr. Simic's expertise in physician education and interest in the dynamic between physicians and patients, he and his colleague Sue Larsen, founded Astute Doctor Education.

Disclosure: Mr. Simic states that he does not have any financial arrangements that could constitute a conflict of interest.

While this program has some useful and interesting information, it is far to long for the value it provides, full of jargon, and and quite frankly not worth the time invested.
