Outcome Objectives:

As a result of completing this activity, the participant will be better able to:

Identify the principles of ethical or moral conduct for physicians
Explain the basis for ethical relationships between physicians and patients
Discuss the need for privacy, consent, and confidentiality in medical encounters.
Recognize self-awareness of implicit bias to develop inclusive professional behavioral ethical practices.
Recognize different approaches to ethical theory, values, and reasoning that inform decisions in medical practice, policy, and law.
Critically analyze ethical issues encountered in medical practice and formulate a framework within which such issues could be resolved.
